Biosketch

A pharmacist by training and a neuroscientist, she has over 13 years of research experience and has held a position as a faculty researcher at Paris Cité University since 2023. Her work explores the role of interactions between the gut microbiota and the brain in the body’s adaptation to constantly changing environments subject to social, nutritional, chemical, and biological stresses. She has identified gut microbial signatures linked to depression and the response to antidepressants, highlighted key functions of the microbiota in tryptophan metabolism, and revealed communication pathways to the brain, particularly via the vagus nerve.
